Goodwill and Gateway Mall to Host Halloween Events in October

Goodwill (www.lincolngoodwill.org) and Gateway Mall are collaborating for another spooktacular Halloween by offering three free events to the Lincoln community. First, on Saturday, October 9, they will host a Make & Take Workshop where attendees will receive craft kits to create a Halloween item. This workshop is made possible by Goodwill’s Bits and Pieces section in their stores that meet all crafting needs from jewelry and utensils to ribbon and glue. Then, on Saturday, October 23, furry friends are invited to the Howl-O-Ween Pet Costume Contest. Prizes and treats will be awarded. Finally, on Sunday, October 31, join them for a safe and fun Halloween at the L’il Monsters Trick-or-Treat event. Participating stores will hand out treats to all kids ages 12 and under. Reusable tote bags will be available to collect candy. During the event, enter the DIY Costume Contest to win a prize. All events are located in the common area behind Scooter’s at Gateway Mall.

For 89 years, Goodwill Industries Serving Southeast Nebraska, Inc. has been strengthening the Lincoln community by providing services for individuals who face barriers to employment and by offering residents an outlet for recycling unused household items and clothing.
