Round up a friend or two and join the United Way Women in Philanthropy for the third annual Helping Hands Auction, Thursday February 4, 6:30-8:00 p.m. at the Lincoln Country Club.

What better way to mix, mingle, and bid on fashionable gloves, scarves, and bracelets to keep you warm and elegant all winter long – with proceeds providing winter clothing for children whose families can’t afford the basics. Tickets are just $25 each, or three for $70, and complimentary hors d’oeuvres are served.

The event, co-sponsored by Lincoln Benefit Life and Lincoln Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery, has grown each year and includes designer and one-of-a-kind pieces. “This has turned into a fun, yet meaningful girls’ night out,” commented Michelle St. Clair, Chair of the Helping Hands Auction Committee. “We are grateful to our co-sponsors and our glove, scarf, and bracelet underwriters for their support.”

Local artist Susan J. Brasch has designed an original piece of artwork for each of the last two annual auction events. She will once again design a new piece that will be unveiled and given away at the event.
Tickets are available by calling the United Way office at 441-7700.
