HopeSpoke Announces Upcoming Active Parenting Class Sessions

As part of its mission, HopeSpoke (www.hopespoke.org) provides parenting classes for parents, guardians, and other adult family members with children of all ages. HopeSpoke is excited to share their Active Parenting Class schedule for the summer:

  • Parents of Teens: July 15–August 19, every Monday from 5 to 7 p.m.
  • Parents of Children Ages 0–5: July 18–August 8, every Thursday from 1 to 3 p.m.
  • Parents of Children Ages 5–12: July 15–August 19, every Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m.

Active Parenting Class is an evidence-based program with a set curriculum. According to parents in the community who have taken the class, it’s very useful and any parent could benefit from taking it. They also considered it to be very informational, noting that their kids are doing so much better as a result.

Each session is two hours in length and includes a parent guide, refreshments, and completion incentives. The cost to attend an Active Parenting Class is $40. However, a reduced rate as low as $5 is possible based on income. This program is provided through a grant from the Community Health Endowment of Lincoln and local donors.

HopeSpoke inspires healthy futures for children and families through comprehensive behavioral and mental health services.
