HopeSpoke Receives $25K Grant from Medica to Meet Emergency Mental Health Needs

HopeSpoke (hopespoke.org) recently received a $25,000 grant of emergency funding from the Medica Foundation, a nonprofit, charitable grant-making foundation headquartered in Minnesota. HopeSpoke will use the funding from Medica to support remote services utilizing telehealth and allowing them to continue to offer holistic, trauma-informed mental health services, transitional counseling, and therapy to anyone with mental, emotional, or behavioral issues.

“Response to the extensive and destructive reach of the coronavirus requires a community-wide effort,” said Patrick Bourne, Medica market leader for Nebraska. “The Medica Foundation is proud to join with our community partners to support the critical health needs in our communities. I am grateful for our ability to support other organizations that need us more than ever as we face this public health crisis.”

At HopeSpoke, no one is denied services due to the inability to pay. They have a big vision—for all children and families to be healthy and hopeful. In the face of COVID-19, HopeSpoke hopes to work with the community sooner rather than later to maintain people’s mental health in the face of this pandemic. HopeSpoke will be assisting people in balancing their work life and home responsibilities, navigating challenging family dynamics, exploring thoughts and emotions regarding the unknown, and effectively coping with situational or clinical anxiety and depression.

HopeSpoke provides comprehensive behavioral health services for families and individuals across the lifespan. To learn more, go online to hopespoke.org.
