The Lincoln Chapter of American Marketing Association is presenting its sixth annual marketing training for nonprofit. Cause Camp 2010 is a ¾-day event featuring seminars on marketing best practices for nonprofit staff and volunteers on Thursday, January 28, 2010, from 7:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Downtown Holiday Inn, 141 North 9th St. in Lincoln.
The event will feature a choice of trainings addressing networking, corporate sponsorships, direct mail and writing for marketing materials. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear keynote luncheon speaker Hannah Brazee Gregory of Shoestring Creative – the nation’s nonprofit-only advertising agency – discuss “Nonprofit Marketing on a Shoestring.”
A new session added this year is a press panel following the keynote address. Attendees can ask questions of local print, radio and television news personnel.
Cost to attend is $50 for AMA members and $60 for nonmembers. Because the event offers trainings to varying levels of expertise, additional attendees from the same organization may attend for $35 each. A small number of scholarships are available.
