Lone Star Restaurant has made it easy for TeamMates supporters to enjoy a great meal and help financially support* the Lincoln TeamMates program. From Wednesday, September 19, through Friday September 21, Lone Star Restaurant, 200 N. 70th St., will donate 15 % of diners’ meal receipts to the Lincoln TeamMates Mentoring Program.
TeamMates supporters need to take a copy of the attached flyer and present it to their server. A copy of the flyer may also be downloaded and printed from the Lincoln TeamMates Web site: www.lincolnteammates.org Any meal purchased between 11 am and 10 pm, Sept. 19-Sept 21, will qualify. Flyers are also available at several Lincoln Public School offices.
The TeamMates Mentoring Program was founded in 1991 by Tom and Nancy Osborne to provide support and encouragement to school aged youth. The objective of the program is to see students graduate from high school and pursue a post-secondary education.
In Lincoln there is a need for additional donations and for mentors to meet one hour per week at the school to provide support and encouragement to youth.
