LUX Center for the Arts presents Susan McGilvrey’s new works in “Art & Dishes: Novelties & Greatest Hits”. This show opens Friday, October 4, from 5p.m. to 8 p.m. and runs through October 26. This First Friday event will also feature Susan McGilvrey discussing her work with Kent Wolgamott. This unique set of exhibitions coincides with her retrospective exhibition in the center’s Main Gallery. She used earthenware clay to create whimsical forms that are decorated with underglazes and washes.
Both exhibitions were made possible by the generous support of The Cooper Foundation, The Elizabeth Firestone Graham Foundation, and RBC Wealth Management: The Letheby Group.
LUX Center for the Arts is free and open to the public. Hours: Tuesday-Friday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (first Friday of each month until 8 p.m.). Free parking is available on the west side of the building located in historic University Place at 2601 N. 48th Street.
