The Mourning Hope Grief Center is partnering with The Moyer Foundation to launch Camp Erin® Lincoln
. Camp Erin is a free, weekend overnight camp for children between the ages of six and 17 who have experienced the death of someone close to them. Registration is now open for the camp’s inaugural Lincoln location, which will be held September 26-28. Space is limited, and campers are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
At Camp Erin, children learn that they are not alone in their grief. The fun, familiar environment of camp is combined with planned activities that give children a chance to honor their loved ones, express their feelings and make lasting friendships with their peers facing similar experiences. Led by grief professionals and trained volunteers, Camp Erin helps children learn to cope and to heal.
Applications to attend Camp Erin must be received by September 1, 2014 – but space is limited and all are encouraged to apply early. For more information about Camp Erin® Lincoln
or to apply as a camper or volunteer, please contact Kim Davis at (402) 488-8989 or kdavis@mourninghope.org. You can also visit: www.mourninghope.org for additional information about The Mourning Hope Grief Center or to download an application form.
