Mourning Hope’s Make Room for HOPE Capital Campaign Supports New Facility

With the global death toll from COVID-19 in the hundreds of thousands, the need for Mourning Hope Grief Center’s (www.mourninghope.org) bereavement resources and services in Lincoln is rising exponentially, leading the nonprofit to urge participation in its Make Room for HOPE Capital Campaign.

The Make Room for HOPE campaign supports development of Mourning Hope’s first permanent facility, which will provide grief support services and groups, offer on-site wellness programs, and welcome children and families who are navigating life after devastating loss. With a gift of $250 or more, you can be a part of the Mosaic Quilt that will be featured in the Center’s Community Room. The nonprofit invites community members to purchase a quilt tile to support the remaining construction and its increased services.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the small-but-mighty team of Mourning Hope staff and volunteers has managed the increase in demand for bereavement services. As need continues to spike, it becomes that much more important for Mourning Hope to complete the new Center.
