Beginning April 26, blood donors will be able to donate at the Nebraska Community Blood Bank’s (NCBB) new location at 1631 Pine Lake Road. An official open house and ribbon cutting is planned for Tuesday, May 1, at 1:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served and tours of the new site will be available for all attendees.
“The new location offers better visibility, easier donor access and opportunity for expansion,” noted COO, Ellen DiSalvo. For the past 12 years, NCBB has been located at 2917 Pine Lake Road.
“Donor convenience has always been a priority and the expanded Pine Lake location will enable us to be closer to where many of our donors live,” added CEO, Phyllis Ericson. “We are eager to open and to continue to serve the community.” Founded in 1968, NCBB provides blood components to hospitals in six counties.
In addition to the new Pine Lake location, NCBB also has collection sites as 100 N. 84th St., 2700 Fletcher Ave. and 131 S. 13th St.
