NeighborWorks Lincoln invites the public to tour the homes and gardens of one of Lincoln’s first neighborhoods on Sunday, June 24 from 1 to 4 p.m.  In partnership with the Malone/Hawley Neighborhood Association, this historic home and garden tour of the Malone and Hawley neighborhoods offers an opportunity to take a new look at one of Lincoln’s oldest communities.  Tickets for the event are $5 and can be purchased the day of the event at 2511 T Street.

Raffle tickets will be available for several rain barrels donated by Watershed Management and painted by area artists.  There will be eight houses on the tour predating 1920 including: The Armstrong House a fully restored Bungalow with mission stained glass, wide eves and awnings designed around 1915; and The Fleming House, built in 1907, it was a central location in the designation of the Hawley Historic District.

The event is a fundraiser for NeighborWorks Lincoln as they celebrate national NeighborWorks week. Proceeds will support NeighborWorks Lincoln’s current and future neighborhood improvement projects.
