Downtown P Street’s landscape is changing yet again with the addition of a new incubator and collaborative workspace for nonprofit organizations. Nonprofit Hub opened the space at 211 N. 14th St. on Jan. 1, 2015. Local organizations will share space with others trying to make a positive change in the world—without sacrificing a big piece of their budget to pay for that space. The space will also be available to for-profit businesses that take a pledge to do social good through their business practices or in the community.
Nonprofit Hub is work-ready when a nonprofit steps in the door, from furnishings to a phone line and professional reception services, wifi, and office equipment/supplies. The two-level, 12,000-square-foot office offers a space to work for up to 100 people each day. Nonprofit Hub has 13 private offices and 12 ultra-private collaborative cubicles available, plus 44 desks that can be rented on a day-to-day basis. The state-of-the art conference center and classroom accommodates up to 50 people in addition to three eight-person meeting rooms and a fully equipped, 12-person meeting room available to organizations.
Primarily funded by local website/marketing company Firespring and its owners, local businesses may also contribute to making this incubation and collaboration space a possibility. For more information about Nonprofit Hub and information about reserving a workspace, visit lincoln.nonprofithub.org.
