Your first stop on June’s First Friday Art Walk in downtown Lincoln should be Nebraska CASA Association
’s special sale of Norris 4th Grade Art! They will be located behind the Metro Gallery at 1316 N Street from 4 to 6 p.m. Art created by Norris 4th Grade Students is available for purchase to support Nebraska CASA Association’s work to provide a caring adult volunteer for every abused and neglected child that needs one.
CASA or Court Appointed Special Advocates is a non-profit program that trains volunteers who are appointed by judges to speak in court for the safety and well-being of abused and neglected children. CASA has been in Nebraska for over 25 years and serves 36 Nebraska Counties. CASA volunteers served 1,326 children in 2012, and at the end of 2012 there were still 1,665 children on a waiting list for CASA services in Nebraska.
