TeamMates would like to recognize and thank their faith-based partner organization, St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, for their recent support of a TeamMates mentor who went above and beyond for a student involved in the program. This mentor connected the student’s family to St. Mark’s Transportation for Humanity program, which was able to provide a replacement vehicle after the student’s family car stopped working and was unrepairable. Transportation for Humanity is a need-based mission outreach program established at St. Mark’s more than 20 years ago that gives vehicles to families who are struggling responsibly to overcome hardships yet sustain self-sufficiency. The program is funded through donations and is not part of the church’s budget. They accept cash donations and most vehicles, as long as they are safe to drive and in good condition. Donors receive a tax deduction for the full retail price of the donated vehicle. Any individual or business that would like to make a donation should contact St. Mark’s United Methodist Church at (402) 489-8885.

The mission of TeamMates is to positively impact the world by inspiring youth to reach their full potential. For more information about TeamMates, visit lincolnteammates.org or call (402) 436-1990.
