Super Bowl Champion Coach Joe Gibbs Speaks to Over 700 Attendees

Coach Joe Gibbs, former NFL three-time winning Super Bowl coach and current owner of a winning NASCAR team, shared stories from his life and football at a breakfast event on August 14 at the Embassy Suites. He shared the impact that Jesus Christ has had throughout a career and life that has not always been marked by “victory”, at least from a human perspective. This includes a personal financial crisis and the recent loss of their son J.D. to a degenerative neurological disease.

Lincoln CBMC (Lincoln.cbmc.com) partnered with other Christian organizations, churches, and individuals to host over 80 tables. The event was organized and sponsored by Pizza Ranch, based in Orange City, IA along with Game Plan for Life (Gameplanforlife.com), a men’s ministry and nonprofit started by Gibbs.

One of the current CBMC activities includes two study and discussion groups on the Gospel of John. An upcoming Lunch & Learn for CBMC Peer Advisory Groups will be held Wednesday, October 9 at the CBMC office. Contact Ed Nix at enix@cbmc.com for details.

CBMC Lincoln is a ministry to business and professional men, encouraging them toward spiritual development, personal integrity, principled leadership, and a desire to impact others. For information about CBMC Lincoln, visit Lincoln.cbmc.com or follow them on Facebook (@cbmclincolnne).
