Tabitha, your answer for Elder Care, will host Into the Blue, a donor recognition luncheon, on Wednesday, April 8 at 11:30 a.m. at The Cornhusker hotel in Lincoln. At the celebration, Tabitha will honor those who have given extraordinarily in the pursuit of outstanding, compassionate care for southeast Nebraska Elders.
The luncheon will recognize several notable individuals and organizations, all of whom dedicate exceptional time and talent to Tabitha’s Christian mission of delivering innovative Elder Care services that promote the dignity, independence and well-being of older adults. 2015 honorees include Aloha Schmid (employee donor award), St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church (church partner award), Assurity Life Insurance Company (corporate donor award), Abel Foundation (corporate community partner award) and Carol Reed (individual community partner award).
Proceeds from the event help Tabitha continue its mission of non-profit service to Elders. More than 75 percent of those in Tabitha’s care rely on federal- and state-funded programs to pay for their services. With funding for these government programs in constant flux, the Tabitha Foundation works behind the scenes to ensure Elders continue to get the care they need and deserve. Donations help to make up part of the shortfall.
