Tabitha, Gateway Sertoma Club Announce 17th Annual Golf Event
Lincoln’s Gateway Sertoma Club and Tabitha (tabitha.org), Nebraska’s industry-leading senior care provider, will join forces June 7 for the 17th Annual Gateway Sertoma Golf Event at Lincoln’s NuMark Golf Course. The event will raise funds to support Tabitha Meals on Wheels program.
Tournament registration is now open and includes a four-person scramble, lunch, steak dinner, and prizes. Registration, lunch, and range time begin at 11:30 a.m. with the shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. Registration is open online at Tabitha.org/Golf or contact the Tabitha Foundation at (402) 486-8509 for more information.
Event proceeds will benefit Tabitha Meals on Wheels, which serves more than 500 individuals in the Lincoln community daily. Seventy percent of recipients are unable to afford the $6.25 cost of a meal. As Tabitha has made a point to turn no one away from a warm, nutritious meal, contributions like those from the Gateway Sertoma Golf Event are instrumental in keeping the lifeline program operational.
Gateway Sertoma was founded as a service club in Lincoln in 1961. The group’s mission is “service to mankind,” motivating members to volunteer service and fundraising for community programs in need. Seventeen years ago, the group combined their love of service with their love of golf by hosting this charity golf tournament to benefit the mission of Tabitha.
Tabitha offers results-driven rehabilitation, at-home health care, innovative living communities, and compassionate hospice services. Learn more online at Tabitha.org.
