Tabitha to Offer Support Groups, Volunteer Training, and Remembrance Service

Tabitha (Tabitha.org), Nebraska’s industry-leading senior care provider, offers support groups and individual hospice volunteer training in April, along with a remembrance service in May. Grief and support groups are open to anyone in the community experiencing loss or needing support. Please call (402) 486-8506 for confirmation of dates.

  • Loss of a Loved One Drop-in Grief Group, every Monday, 10–11:30 a.m., at the Front Porch Coffee Shop, 5925 Adams St.
  • Loss of a Loved One Drop-in Grief Group, every Wednesday, 1:30–3 p.m., at The Harbor Coffeehouse, 1265 S. Cotner Blvd.
  • Men’s Drop-in Grief Group, every other Friday, April 12 and 26, 1:30–3 p.m., at Hy-Vee deli, 7151 Stacy Ln.
  • Growing through Grief, a six-week support group, Wednesdays, April 3–May 8, 10–11:30 a.m., at Tabitha, 4720 Randolph St. For questions, please contact Pastor Ray Boeche, Tabitha Hospice bereavement coordinator, at (402) 486-8546.

Tabitha also invites you to join the Tabitha Hospice team for a Remembrance Service to celebrate the life of your loved one and share in the support of our community. This service will include a special tribute to fallen veterans and their families. It will be held on Thursday, May 23, 6 p.m., at Tabitha Chapel, 4720 Randolph St.

Tabitha offers individual hospice volunteer training throughout Lancaster County as well. Hospice volunteering is a rewarding opportunity that provides companionship, pet therapy, bereavement support, respite care, light housekeeping, office, and clerical support, while providing comfort and joy to Tabitha clients.
