The Bridge at Cornhusker Place, a comprehensive substance abuse treatment center, will host its annual Tailgate Straight event on Saturday, November 9 starting one hour before the Husker vs Michigan football game kickoff. The fundraiser is open to the public and will feature traditional tailgate activities including games and food without the alcohol. The event will be held in The Loft at The Bridge at Cornhusker Place at 721 K Street. The televised Husker football game will be shown during the event. This year’s event will feature an all-you-can-eat chili feed. While there is no charge for the event, guests can make a free-will donation by voting with their monetary donations for a particular chili-making team. Chili teams include The Bridge at Cornhusker Place staff and alumni as well as teams from the community.
