Topher Hansen, CEO for CenterPointe
, was awarded the 2012 Nonprofit Executive of the Year from the Association of Nonprofit Executives on February 19th. The Association noted that Hansen is deeply dedicated to serving the indigent and homeless poor in Lincoln who are experiencing mental illness and addiction. U.S. Bank sponsored the $500 award and will also contribute $500 to CenterPointe in Hansen’s honor.
Founded 40 years ago, CenterPointe is a leader in integrated services that help people with mental health and substance use issues live healthier, more productive lives. Under Hansen’s leadership the organization has grown to more than 25 programs providing inpatient and outpatient treatment, rehabilitation, community support, housing and veterans services. Last year CenterPointe served 1,922 program participants and over 900 individuals.
