The United Way Board of Directors approved a fundraising goal of $7,000,000 for the 2013 United Way/Community Health Charities Campaign. Campaign Chair, Nick Cusick, IMSCORP, and his 21 member Campaign Cabinet know that this goal can be reached and states, “The community counts on us.” Dollars raised during the Campaign are used to support United Way funded programs that help children succeed, by providing quality child care; educational programming and mentoring; and assisting those experiencing crisis; such as hunger, domestic abuse, or a natural disaster. In addition, 17 Community Health Charities receive dollars to support individuals who have chronic health issues. The 2013 Campaign begins with Pacesetter organizations running campaigns July 8 through August 23 and concludes with the Community Campaign ending November 15.
