Volunteer Partners has named Randy Hawthorne as their new Executive Director, effective immediately. This announcement comes as a result of the retirement of Julie Smith on May 1. The additional existing staff of Volunteer Partners relocated to Nonprofit Hub at 211 N. 14th St. on July 1.

Volunteer Partners will continue to offer their existing programs and volunteer management training to enhance the service programs of nonprofit agencies. Each organization will operate independently and the boards of directors will stay intact.

Hawthorne will also remain Executive Director of Lincoln Nonprofit Hub. He also lends his expertise to a number of nonprofits in the community, including the American Marketing Association, Rotary Club #14, Leadership Lincoln and Launch Leadership.

Lincoln Nonprofit Hub officially opened its doors to the Lincoln community in March. The space is a collaboration that provides at-cost rent for nonprofit organizations and businesses pledging to do social good. That way, the organizations housed there can spend more time focusing on their missions. Their 12,000-square-foot facility includes work-ready spaces for more than 100 nonprofits, access to conference rooms, WiFi, printers, office supplies, reception services and a permanent address to receive mail.

Volunteer Partners (www.volunteerpartners.org) is a Lincoln-based nonprofit dedicated to connecting people, businesses and nonprofits with the right volunteer opportunities. In addition, Volunteer Partners offers volunteer management training to enhance the service programs of local nonprofit agencies.
