The Youth Actors Academy of Lincoln (YAAL) is proud to announce that its fall classes are open for registration. Theatre classes include Show Choir, Mission: Improv, Sketch Comedy, and Stories Alive! YAAL’s fall musical theatre workshop is Shrek the Musical for youth ages 7-18. This production of Shrek will be performed at the Lied Center’s Johnny Carson Theatre, and it is directed by veteran Lincoln actor Brad Boesen.
YAAL is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which is dedicated to bringing affordable professional level theatre training to youth of all ages and abilities. Through YAAL’s high-quality work, young people gain confidence and learn commitment, responsibility, and team work skills that are critical to their success both in school and in life. YAAL awards many need-based scholarships and includes youth with disabilities in its productions. All classes will take place at the YAAL Theatre located at 5930 S. 57th street.
