Karen Brokaw, a senior advertising executive with a Nebraska-based marketing communications agency since 1986, announces the opening of her own agency, Brokaw Marketing based in Lincoln.

Brokaw Marketing will serve clients with a mix of traditional and non-traditional marketing solutions in both business-to-business and consumer markets.

The new agency will continue Brokaw’s work with the Nebraska Soybean Board’s marketing and educational program, the Consumer Linkage Program.   Other clients will utilize Brokaw Marketing for her expertise with in-depth research, communications strategy, media buying and retail promotional programs.

An experienced media planner and strategist, she has been instrumental in planning and conceptualization of client marketing and advertising campaigns.  Market research is critical to successful campaigns, she says, and will be a major focus of her new agency.

Brokaw has served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln, teaching Media Buying & Planning. She is a long-term member of the Advertising Federation of Lincoln.  As a member of the Lincoln Chapter of the American Marketing Association, Karen has served on the AMA Board for several years.  She was awarded the 2005 Silver Medal Award from the Lincoln Advertising Federation.
