Lisa Henning has joined UNICO MIDLANDS to develop wellness programs for employers across Nebraska and in surrounding states. She will serve as a full time executive wellness consultant to oversee wellness programs and services for agency clients. Henning has more than 20 years of experience in the field. She served as the Executive Director for a non-profit wellness council in Southeastern Nebraska and most recently was the Director for the National Healthy Worksite Program through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Strategic worksite wellness has long been a proven opportunity for reducing health risk associated with increased medical costs and injury. The return on investment is well documented and includes a reduction of employee healthcare costs plus the potential to reduce absenteeism costs. Planned program offerings include wellness strategy design, a shared wellness/HR coordinator program and an impact database. Education and training services will also be available to clients.
