High Plains Alzheimer’s Special Care Center
is pleased to announce the addition of Emily Gossard to their management team in the position of Program Director. Emily has previous experience working with the elderly in different positions, and recently completed training in High Plains’ Meaningful Moments program. This program helps caregivers to capture the resident’s life story and to continue to bring that life story into their journey through the dementia process. Emily lives here in Lincoln with her husband. Together she and her husband have four children and three grandchildren. Emily enjoys crocheting, scrapbooking, being outdoors, and spending time with family and friends.
At High Plains, they understand that caring for a loved one with some form of dementia is a difficult and challenging experience. Furthermore, they understand that the decision to place a loved one in the care of others is perhaps the most difficult decision you will ever make. High Plains strives to provide a warm, caring and supportive environment where residents can experience daily routines and familiar faces, and their programs are designed to add meaning and value to their lives and to help them feel safe and secure.
