Jessica States has served as the director of Special Events for nearly two years and has been promoted to senior director of Programs and Events. States earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and Communication from Nebraska Wesleyan University and a master’s in management from Doane College. She enjoys volunteering as an advisor for Delta Zeta Sorority, is active in the Lincoln Young Professionals Group and is a Lincoln Chamber ambassador. In her new role, she will be responsible for managing local program and special event staff and will oversee JA’s strategic growth in student reach, volunteer recruitment and event fundraising.

Alison Gottsch-Walton, program coordinator, will work with 700 community volunteers and 800 educators to bring JA’s financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship programs to more than 23,000 K-12th grade students this year. Gottsch-Walton will be responsible for the recruitment and training of volunteers as well as growing teacher participation. She is a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Kearney with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Communication. She enjoys volunteering for Make-A-Wish Foundation and is active as an alumni adviser to the Alpha Omicron Phi Sorority.

Jessica Frink, special events coordinator, graduated from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Tour and Travel with a Special Events emphasis.  She has been working in events for 10 years.  She resides in Lincoln with her husband and two children.
