Pat Haverty has been selected as the new Vice President for Economic Development. Haverty replaces Jason Smith who returned near home to Texas after leading the Lincoln Partnership for Economic Development for ten years. Haverty previously led the business retention and attraction efforts for the Partnership and has been on staff since May 2011. He is looking forward to leading the economic development efforts for the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce and the Partnership.

Haverty is also on the Nebraska Economic Developers’ Board of Directors and has been an adjunct instructor at Peru State College since 2009. He previously served as the Executive Director of the Nebraska City economic development group from 2005 – 2009 and as the City Administrator from 2009 – 2011. Haverty obtained an undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Nebraska at Kearney and a master’s degree in Organizational Management from Peru State College.
