UNICO Group, Inc. has promoted Neal Lyons to the position of Chief Financial Officer. Lyons joined UNICO in July 2012 and has provided leadership to the accounting division during that time. Within his new role, Lyons will utilize his background in public accounting and prior experience as CFO for wholesale distribution and manufacturing companies in Lincoln. He will help ensure UNICO continues to grow at a record pace, allowing the company to further its position as the largest privately owned insurance agency in Nebraska.
UNICO has grown revenue by 12% in the last year and is currently managing $120 million of insured premium. The company has also expanded its team to 75 employees and provides leadership to team members in four states. UNICO has also added considerable experience and resources to the Family and Business Division via the addition of several independent agents who understand the Lincoln and southeast Nebraska market for personal lines and business insurance.
