Union Bank & Trust recently promoted Lindsey Kirkendall to Officer and UNL Relationship Manager and Nicole Sweigard to Officer and Business Development Manager, both at the newly-opened branch in the University of Nebraska—Lincoln City Campus Union.
Kirkendall joined the bank in 2005 as a teller. She has since held several positions in customer service including Personal Banker and most recently Branch Manager. She holds a Bachelor’s of Arts in Business Management from Doane College in Lincoln. Kirkendall is responsible for leading the development and growth of Union Bank’s UNL Campus branch as well as overseeing all functions of the branch, including staff management and development, customer relations and consumer lending. She is a member of Lincoln’s Young Professionals Group, volunteers at the Center for People in Need, Cedars and Campbell Elementary.
With Union Bank since 2009, Sweigard has served as a Financial Wellness Educator in the Retirement Plans Services Department. She holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Education from Bemidji State University and is a Certified Educator in Personal Finance and Certified Fund Specialist. Sweigard’s responsibilities include providing assistance, information and resources to UNL’s faculty and staff. She is on the Executive Leadership Team for the American Heart Association Walk and volunteers at Saint Elizabeth, Mourning Hope, City Impact and as a TeamMate.
