Union Bank & Trust recently promoted Matt Clay to Managing Officer of the Credit Card Department. Clay started with the bank in 2004 as a part-time employee in the Collections Department. He has held a variety of positions within the Mortgage and Consumer Loans Departments, most recently as Project Coordinator for Credit Cards. As Managing Officer, Clay will be responsible for the management of the credit card program, oversee department staff and grow the portfolio.

Clay earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of Nebraska—Lincoln in 2004. He received a Master’s of Theology from Spring Arbor University in 2013. Clay is a member of Christian Business Men’s Committee and Lincoln’s Young Professionals Group. Clay serves on the Union Bank United Way Committee, volunteers for Junior Achievement and is active in his local church as a teacher and lay counselor.
