Southeast Community College’s General Motors Automotive Service Educational Program received a new addition to its training facility, a 2011 GMC Terrain, thanks to the commitment of General Motors to SCC’s program.

The vehicle is equipped with all-wheel drive, a 2.4-litre four-cylinder engine with direct injection and a six-speed automatic transaxle.

Mark Christensen, instructor in SCC’s GM ASEP program, said the vehicle would be used to teach courses that are required by the ASEP program for satisfying GM Service Technical Training requirements.

The vehicle arrived at SCC’s program, located on the Milford Campus, in late July.

Persons interested in the GM ASEP program are asked to contact Christensen at (402) 761-8306 or Instructor Jon Kisby at (402) 761-8302. SCC’s program is 21 months long and awards the Associate of Applied Science degree upon successful completion.
