Upcoming Events on ZOOM
In April, Strictly Business had few firsts, including hosting Friends4Lunch virtually on ZOOM. It was a very neat experience. Our team was a little nervous about how smoothly it would go (we did a couple practice rounds amongst ourselves beforehand), but we were very happy with the result and enjoyed seeing friendly faces pop up on our screens. Like many businesses and organizations, the COVID-19 crisis has forced Strictly Business to take our networking efforts online. It’s important to us to still be making new connections while also staying connected to our current clients and friends. During last month’s Friends4Lunch on ZOOM, we all went around to introduce ourselves, our business, and how we’ve personally been affected by the coronavirus. We heard a variety of different responses. We also shared laughs as the introverts and extroverts of the group identified themselves, admitting how social distancing is either going pretty well or pretty painfully…but we all agreed that we’re looking forward to being able to ACTUALLY see each other again. Until then, we will continue to host events online. Mark your calendars for the following virtual meet-ups Strictly Business has planned!
Friends4Drinks – Tuesday, May 5, 4 p.m.
Order a to-go margarita from your favorite local bar (or pour yourself whatever beverage you have at home) and celebrate Cinco de Mayo with the Strictly Business team on Tuesday, May 5, starting at 4 p.m. on ZOOM. This is a chance to connect with other local professionals online. It will be a fun time as we’ll start by having everyone introduce themselves and then share the creative ways they’ve been supporting local businesses during this time. Following introductions, we’ll be breaking into smaller groups for an interactive game led by a Strictly Business team member. Feel free to pop in late or exit out early if needed.
Friends4Lunch – Wednesday, May 13, 11:30 a.m.
Strictly Business will host Friends4Lunch on ZOOM again this month. We invite you to “join” us on Wednesday, May 13, starting at 11:30 a.m. Just like last month, we will give everyone the chance to tell the group about their business and then open up discussion on relevant topics. Depending on the number of participants, we will break out into smaller groups to allow for more personal discussions. During this time, we encourage you to order food from your favorite local restaurant that is either doing pick-up or delivery. We, of course, recommend out client restaurants—The Chocolate Season, Raising Cane’s, Rock ‘n’ Joe Coffee Bar, Villa Amore, The Venue Restaurant & Lounge, Piedmont Bistro by Venue, Cactus Modern Mexican & Cantina by Venue, Goodcents Deli Fresh Subs, MoMo Pizzeria & Ristorante, H.F. Crave, and McKinney’s Irish Pub—but the decision is totally up to you!
