How long have you been in Lincoln? – We’ve been in Lincoln since 1986. We are located at 1040 North Cotner.
Who are the owners/important executives? – Brian and Chris McPike are a husband and wife duo that own ComPro. Brian serves as President and coordinates Employer Group Benefits while Chris is the Vice President and specializes in health insurance plans for Individuals & Families.
What do you think makes you different from other companies similar to yours? – At ComPro, we are invested in our relationships with our clients, insurance carriers, and agent partners. We invest ourselves in studying changing regulations like the Affordable Care Act, analyzing the health insurance market, and assessing all options so we can design the best coverage programs for our clients.
What do you like about doing business in Lincoln? – Business owners in Lincoln & throughout Nebraska have wonderful core values. We love being a business in this community!
What kind of community organizations/groups are you involved with? – We are involved in our church, Campus Life, LIBA, the Bethany Business Association, and the East Lincoln Business Association.
Do you have a business philosophy or mission statement? – “Experienced professionals serving you with integrity and excellence.”
What changes have you seen recently in the industry and your company the past few years? – HealthCare Reform has changed everything!
What do you see happening with the business in the next five years? – The implementation of the Affordable Care Act will continue through 2015 and beyond. The delivery and payment for medical services will continue to evolve as providers, patients, insurance carriers and the government sector respond to this new platform.
What has been your most important achievement as a business? – We have been recognized by many insurance carriers for achieving sales awards and participating in advisory groups. However, the biggest reward is the testimonials and referrals that we receive from clients. ComPro truly cares about every client we have. It’s an honor to represent them.
What is the most unique or interesting thing about your business that most people don’t know? – Brian is a huge Mizzou fan, but we try not to hold that against him too much here in Husker nation! We’re also keen observers of National Pastry Day! We celebrate by delivering donuts and pastries to locals businesses as well as clients, neighbors, and friends.
