Welcome to the November issue of Strictly Business! I am pleased to present our 2013 Best Dressed winners this month, who are all great examples of businessmen and women who put their best fashion foot forward in the Lincoln community every day.  Our event was a great success, and I want to thank everyone who continues to make Best Dressed a truly rewarding experience year after year—and a really fun time! As we approach Thanksgiving, one of the special holidays that I feel gets overlooked by many in between Halloween and all of our preparations for Christmas; I think it is so important to take a minute out of our busy schedules to simply be thankful for the many blessings that surround each and every one of us.  We celebrate our Veterans in November, whom we should thank and be thankful for every day as they are protecting our country, its citizens, our way of life and the major freedoms that we enjoy.  Often we forget to stop and be thankful and grateful for what we have, as it is easy to get caught up in the stuff of daily life or to try to keep up with others who we think have more than we do.  I’m always reminding myself stop for a moment to reflect on how blessed I am and to be thankful.  I am truly thankful for my amazing clients and supportive readers, as well as my wonderful staff who work tirelessly every month to make sure our magazine is the best it can be.  I am thankful for my family who are always supportive of my goals; and thankful for their understanding when I have to order pizza for dinner or forget to switch over the laundry.  And last but not least, I am thankful for my great friends who get me through those challenging days.  God has truly blessed me, and for that I am thankful.  So as it takes 30 days to create a habit, I issue you all a 30 day challenge–Each day this month, reach out to someone and thank them for how they have touched your life.  Pick up the phone, drop them a note, or even thank them in person if you have the opportunity.  I guarantee that at the end of the 30 days, not only will you have blessed the lives of many others but your bucket will be overflowing!  I hope you enjoy this issue, and I wish you all a blessed holiday season.
