Meet Jayme Berks, business account executive at ALLO Communications.

Tell us a little about your business.ALLO (www.allocommunications.com) is a Nebraska-based company that offers fiber telephone, internet, and television to residents and businesses in 27 cities across Nebraska, Colorado, and Arizona. Serving our customers and community is what we do!

How did you get started in the business? – I applied to ALLO as a referred applicant after working for a competitor for the previous seven years. I accepted a job offer and after three months of employment, I was amazed how quickly I fell in love with the culture here at ALLO.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally? – Whether it be a new job or new responsibilities, stepping out of my comfort zone and trying something new has always been my biggest challenge.

What has been your most important achievement professionally? – Winning an award for being one of the top performers in my position while working for a large corporation.

Tell us a little about your family. – I have three beautiful children who are my motivation to be the best version of myself.

What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life? – Both personally and professionally, I feel that I am hitting a turning point in my life as well as my career with ALLO. I’m gaining traction and building relationships with customers daily which has resulted in me expanding ALLO’s customer base.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? – I love going fishing, hanging out with my kids, and doing house work when time permits.

What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know? – I was on a Nebraska Football poster when Scott Frost was quarterback in the 90s.

Who inspires you? – My children.

If you could have a super power, what would it be? – The ability to control time.

What is your greatest talent that you don’t utilize in your daily work life? – Restoration, remodeling, and repair. I enjoy restoring things to their original glory.

If you could choose any other profession to be successful in, what would it be? – Construction, remodeling, or contracting work.

What local nonprofit organization(s) are you passionate about or involved with, and are there any special reasons why? – Coaching Lincoln Youth Football. By coaching my sons football team, I have come to an understanding that I have a true passion for developing others to reach their true potential.

What is your favorite book or the last good book you read?Relentless: From Good to Great to Unstoppable by Tim S. Grover.

What is your favorite movie?The Pursuit of Happiness.

What is your favorite local restaurant? – Hiro 88.
