Tell us a little bit about your business.

CBD American Shaman is a brick and mortar franchise dedicated to producing the finest CBD. Our products are nine times more bioavailable to the human body due to their proprietary nanotechnology and water-soluble turnaround. We also have topical products with nanotechnology, which makes the absorption rate fast. CBD is known to help with chronic pain, arthritis, anxiety, and so much more by helping to bring your endocannabinoid system to homeostasis. We carry a full line of skin care products, like our eye serum, lotions, face cream, lip revitalizers, bath bombs, and massage oils. We also have products for pets that struggle with arthritis, chronic pain, anxiety, or other health issues. Bottom line, we have all your CBD needs.

How did you get started in the business?

I was introduced to CBD American Shaman a couple years ago when a friend of mine was opening the very first American Shaman store. He called me to try his products for all my chronic pain and lower intestinal colitis to see if it would help. After three weeks, I was pain free, and I no longer needed to take my meds for colitis after four months. We discussed opening some stores to help other people, which took me to Kansas to open my first store. I chose that location because it was where I lived before moving to Nebraska. I opened a couple more stores in Kansas before deciding to buy all the Lincoln franchises. I now have three locations, the first at 27th and Cornhusker and the second at 48th and O St. Our third location just opened in July and is located at 14th and Old Cheney. We have plans for a fourth and a possibly fifth location to come soon. I have a lot of passion for CBD because of the positive results I continue to see.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve seen professionally?

It was definitely long, difficult process to open these stores in the beginning. Getting financial institutions like credit card services and landlords on board has been tough since CBD is such a new industry. The biggest challenge is probably educating the consumer.
