NAI FMA Realty is a locally owned full-service commercial real estate firm providing client-focused solutions in the areas of brokerage, property management, facility maintenance, lease administration/accounting, and contract coordination services. The company was incorporated in 1961 and throughout the past fifty years, they’ve prided themselves on service, market and industry knowledge, and making a meaningful impact on the community. Mike Ball is a Sales and Leasing Associate with NAI FMA Realty.

Tell us a little about your business. – NAI FMA currently manages over 3.8 million square feet of property in Lincoln. Our goal is to meet each client’s specific needs, big or small.

How did you get started in the business? – I started my career in this business working summers during high school performing and assisting in various maintenance type services. In 2003, I became a Property Manager overseeing some of Lincoln’s CBD office buildings and a couple buildings in the historic Haymarket.  In 2009, I transitioned into sales and leasing for the firm and remain in that specialty to this day.

Tell us a little about your family. – I’m married to my wife Andrea and proud parent of two super kids.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? – I enjoy a good run outdoors and spending time with my family.

What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know? – I have a strong interest in watches.

What are you the most proud of? – My family.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? – ‘When you secure a new listing, stand on the rooftop and there is a good chance your likely buyer will be within sight.’

If you could choose only one descriptive word to be remembered as, what would it be? – Caring.

If you could have a super power, what would it be? – Time travel.

If you could choose any other profession to be successful in, what would it be? – Watch making.

What local non-profit organization(s) are you passionate about or involved with, and are there any special reasons why? – I sit on the Board for the American Red Cross.  The Red Cross is such a great organization serving the needs of people in despair.

What is your favorite movie? – Goonies or The ‘Burbs.

What is your favorite TV show? – Frasier or Seinfeld.

What is your favorite local restaurant? – Hiro88.
