Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers is working to raise coats for the People’s City Mission with their 6th Annual “Raising Coats with Raising Cane’s” Coat Drive.
Since 2007, local owners Justin & Jennifer Jones have been able to raise over 5,600 new and gently used coats that have been donated to the People’s City Mission. With the help of the community, they are hoping to raise another 1,500 coats to give back to those in need this winter.
Residents are asked to bring any new or gently used coats to the Raising Cane’s location on the corner of 48th & R Streets from October 1st to November 4th. When coats are donated, they will give a free meal with the purchase of a combo and drink offer.
The Lincoln Franchise was opened in 2006 by Justin & Jennifer Jones, who moved to Nebraska from Baton Rouge, LA. Since opening their location, they have set out to make a change in their community by becoming active community leaders with programs such as this one.
