Mother’s Day should be a happy time for all moms. Unfortunately, many moms are forced to spend this holiday living in community shelters, as they are the victims of domestic abuse or homelessness. For these women, Two Men and a Truck initiated Movers for Moms, a community-based program collecting simple treasures. In Omaha, Two Men and a Truck will collect essential items such as shampoo, conditioner, lotions, soaps, feminine products, toilet paper, toothbrushes, toothpaste, socks, pillows, blankets, etc. for women staying at the Lydia House, WCA and the Stephens Center.
Two Men and a Truck welcomes support of Movers for Moms from local schools, businesses and any other organizations that would like to bring a smile to the faces of less fortunate women on Mother’s Day. Anyone interested in supporting Movers for Moms can visit www.twomenandatruck.com to find the nearest participating Two Men and a Truck franchise location. Collection boxes will be placed to collect donations from the middle of April until the week before Mother’s Day in May.
