How did you get started in the business? – In the fall of 2009 a girlfriend shared the Vemma products with me. At first, I was not excited about trying vitamins, but I was pleasantly surprised with how great their product line tasted! Shortly thereafter, she shared the Vemma business opportunity and their simple referral plan, which allows you to “Get Paid to Drink” the products. As a result, I made the decision to leave my job as a Beauty Consultant of 20 years to share and promote Vemma Nutrition as a Brand Partner, a “Brand Ambassador” with the company. Almost four years later, I am very passionate about helping others to lead a healthier lifestyle through education about nutrition and the Vemma liquid vitamin supplement line.
Tell me a little about your family? – My husband Geoff and I met in Monterey, California in 2007. We were married in August of 2008, and our son Jacob was born a year later in August of 2009. In 2012 we made the decision to leave California to move to Lincoln, NE to be near my husband’s large extended family and to raise our son here in the Midwest. So far we have really been enjoying Lincoln, despite the extended winter this year and unpredictable weather!
What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? – Since I work from home and run my own Vemma business, I have a very flexible schedule. On my husband’s days off we enjoy going to places in Lincoln with our son, spending time with his family, watching movies and eating out. We also like to travel whenever possible, and we will be going to Hawaii this December.
What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? – Write your goals down on blue index cards in blue ink. Then post them in the places you frequent the most…your car, bathroom mirror, refrigerator. It works!
Which talent would you most like to have? – I wish I could sing, and sing well! I would have to say that music is one of my greatest passions in life, and I enjoy listening to ALL genres. My current favorite artists are Adele, Michael Bublé, the cast from Smash, and pop star Katy Perry!
What is your favorite movie? – In addition to having a love of music, and also love watching movies and the arts. I have several favorite movies, but I would have to say “Titanic”. I guess it’s because I am a romantic at heart and Leonardo DiCaprio is one of my favorite actors.
What is your favorite local restaurant? – I would have to say Venue Restaurant & Lounge because I love their modern, yet fine dining atmosphere and excellent service. Eating seafood, a glass of red wine and dessert are what I look forward to!
