Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers partnered with Cell Phones for Soldiers & Helping Heroes Home for its 5th Annual Cell Phones for Soldiers Promotion. With the help of the Lincoln community, restaurant owners Justin and Jennifer Jones have collected over 530 recycled phones and raised over $4,200 that will provide financial support to returning Veterans and a means for local military men and women to stay connected with friends and family while away.
From March 25th through April 30th, residents were asked to donate old & unused cell phones to the Lincoln Raising Cane’s locations and in return for their donation; they received a free meal with purchase offer. Through these efforts, Raising Cane’s gave over $1,900 in food to support this cause. Customers were also able to donate to this program by adding any dollar amount to their orders when purchasing food. The calling cards and check were presented to Lieutenant Colonel Prusia and Brigadier General Bohac at the new Nebraska National Guard Joint Force Headquarters building in early June.
