On November 25, From Nebraska Gift Shop celebrated 25 years of providing everyone with a love for Nebraska a place to find their memories.  Over the 25 years, the gift shop has been located in: the Centrum, the Apothecary building in the Haymarket, the sidetrips area of Wards at the Gateway mall, the Old Market in Omaha, and the Westroads shopping mall in Omaha.  Owner Connie Mahaney also had the Nebraska Suite gift shop in the newly opened Embassy Suites hotel for four years.  In July of 2005, From Nebraska Gift shop made a one block move to the Huber building in the Haymarket District, and this move doubled the size of the shop and allowed the addition of Nebraska wine sales.  Wine can now be purchased by the bottle, glass, or wine tasting—all served from the artistically constructed bar made from a vintage grain bin that was formerly used to store corn!  The shop continues to give small business people an opportunity to market their products.  In addition to food and wine, the shop carries artwork, candles, soaps, metal work, cards, jewelry, and books.  The shop also carries Husker and Nebraska t-shirts and souvenirs.  It is the perfect location for those who miss the state to get their “Nebraska fix.”  For more information about From Nebraska Gift Shop, please call (402) 476-2455 or visit www.fromne.com.
