Locally owned and operated, Crystal Clean Housekeeping LLC specializes in providing residential and commercial cleaning services. Clients may opt for one time cleanings, continuous, routine cleanings or may call only when the service is needed and the company also takes pride in utilizing eco-friendly, EPA approved green cleaning products.
Give us a brief synopsis of what your company does. – We take care of a wide variety of cleaning tasks requested by clients in Lincoln and the surrounding areas. This includes residential and commercial construction clean-ups, providing basic housekeeping for residential clients, and office/commercial cleaning jobs. Move-in and move-out cleaning services are currently our highest demand jobs.
How long have you been in Lincoln? – Crystal Clean Housekeeping opened with an LLC in April of 2014.
Who are the owners/key staff members? – The company is owned and operated by myself, Crystal Patzel, and Lisa Payton is our General Manager.
What do you think makes you different from other companies similar to yours? – Crystal Clean Housekeeping isn’t an overly large company so no one gets lost. Our ownership and management is involved in the day-to-day cleaning and overseeing of all residential and commercial cleaning services. Especially for our residential clients, we provide the peace of mind that no harsh chemicals are being used in their homes.
What do you like about doing business in Lincoln? – What’s not to like? I love the city of Lincoln; this is my home and I have met so many amazing people here.
What kind of community organizations/groups are you involved with? – We are a member of Lincoln Chamber of Commerce and the Better Business Bureau.
Do you have a business philosophy or mission statement? – Our business philosophy is “We clean your home as if it’s our own,” and our mission statement is, “It’s not Clean until it’s Crystal CleanTM.”
What changes have you seen in the industry and your company in the past few years? – We began offering residential cleaning services, and through word of mouth and our first advertising campaign we expanded the business to offer commercial cleaning services. Over the last year we have heard people actually say “We have heard of Crystal Clean!”
What do you see happening with the business in the next five years? – I see us growing more in Lincoln and the surrounding areas as well as opening a location in Omaha.
What is one of the biggest challenges that your company has faced? – It is really hard finding the right employees, but when we do find the good ones we do what it takes to KEEP them. Our company doesn’t believe in paying minimum wage and we’ve made sure that our team knows that if they stay they will be compensated for their dedication to the company and our clients.
What has been your most important achievement as a business? – In less than a year we have established connections with several large companies in Lincoln.
What was the biggest turning point in your business? – In July of last year we received a call from a UNL sorority and gained our first commercial contract. She then gave an apartment manager our name and that is how we received our second commercial cleaning contract. From there it just progressed and our business expanded.
What is the most unique or interesting thing about your business that most people don’t know? – We refuse to use bleach as it is the most harmful chemical you can use.
What is one goal for your business that you have yet to accomplish? – We would really like to have a contract with a large construction company where we are the sole resource for cleaning services.
