The TeamMates Mentoring Program (www.lincolnteammates.org) enjoys a rewarding partnership with HUMANeX Ventures, a leadership development and research consulting firm dedicated to selecting, growing, and developing talented individuals and workplace cultures across the education, business, healthcare, and athletic sectors.
The mission of TeamMates is to positively impact the world by inspiring youth to reach their full potential through mentoring. Because of these complementary organizational objectives, TeamMates was very pleased with the 2014 invitation to offer full scholarships for TeamMates mentees to attend the HUMANeX Young Leaders Summit (YLS), where an 11 time National Championship Coach from UCLA who was personally mentored by John Wooden was a featured and impactful speaker.
This positive student experience prompted another partnership – HUMANeX staff provided a 2015 Mentor Academy. Mentor Academies are designed to provide mentor resources and the ultimate goal was to help mentors discuss developing leadership skills with their mentees.
In June of 2015, Humanex again offered TeamMates students nearly 100 full scholarships to attend YLS, where leadership experts highlighted the core principles of character development and encouraged students to discover and align their purpose in life with their passions and abilities.
“With the powerful vision of Coach Osborne and TeamMates to see individuals realize their potential through the impact of high quality mentoring,” said Brad Black, founder and president of HUMANeX Ventures, “we feel privileged to support TeamMates in a high quality partnership to make more possible.”
