Lincoln Literacy (lincolnliteracy.org) had much to celebrate at its annual awards luncheon held on June 20th at Grace Lutheran Church. The 2015 Lincoln Literacy Awards were presented to the following recipients:

Lincoln Literacy is an award-winning, local non-profit organization that teaches the English language and literacy skills to those in our community who seek assistance. Hundreds of trained volunteers tutor more than a thousand individuals and families each year, helping them gain the gateway skills of communication, as well as to gain proficiency in reading, writing, use of computers, job-search knowhow, and much more. Lincoln Literacy currently serves students from over 60 different countries, and has helped over 10,000 people learn English literacy skills over the past 40 years.
