Room211 (www.room211.org) , a ministry of Christ Lutheran Church in Lincoln, Nebraska, will hold its inaugural “Fall Bash” event on Sunday, October 4, 2015 from 11:30am-4:00pm at the Room211 South location at 5801 S. 84th Street/Lincoln Christian School.
Fall Bash is open to all ages and will feature an art make and take, pumpkin painting, bounce houses, balloon animals, face painting, prizes and music from the 211Band.
In addition, a benefit lunch, served by the Waffleman, will be available. Tickets for the lunch are $5.00 person; free for ages 5 and younger. All proceeds from the Waffleman will benefit City Impact, an organization that inspires urban youth and their families to transform their lives from the inside out through programs as: Impact Reading Center, Children’s Bible Club, Impact Leadership Academy, Youth Leadership Development, Impact Coaching and Strengths for Life Mentoring. Founded in 1996, City Impact has helped more than 5000 Lincoln youth and families.
The event will also serve as a drop off location for the Harvest of Books. The goal of the Harvest of Books, Inc. is to provide every first and second grader in the Lincoln Public Schools and Lincoln Parochial and Private Schools with a minimum of one new book of their own to take home, to enjoy, and to share with their family. Since its beginning, Harvest of Books has provided over 157,000 brand new books to the children of Lincoln.
