Nebraska Community Foundation (www.NebraskaHometown.org) will host its 2015 Annual Training, Expo and Banquet on Thursday, November 5 at River’s Edge Convention Center in Columbus. Following the positive response to last year’s format, this year’s annual training will allow for even more peer-to-peer learning for affiliated fund leaders from across the state. However, anyone interested is invited and encouraged to attend.

Special guest speaker will be Ben Winchester, a rural sociologist who studies positive trends happening under the radar in rural areas. He’ll point to Nebraska-specific data to show that the common narrative of rural communities today isn’t what we’re led to believe, and why these positive changes require us to rewrite the narrative of rural community change.
