The world has long had a taste for Nebraska manufacturing. For the last 23 years, Norland Intl. has been building and shipping bottled water equipment to countries in Africa, Central and South America and Asia. Norland’s new 40,000 square foot building, being constructed by Wright Construction (www.wrightconstructioncompany.com), will enhance that ability for Norland’s new division, American Beer Equipment (www.americanbeerequipment.com).
Started in 2013, A.B.E. has already earned the respect of the American craft-brewing community; and within the last year, has also started enjoying international growth.
“The new facility will greatly enhance our production rates and efficiencies,” said A.B.E. operations manager Dana Waldron, “especially in our canning line division. The enhanced production space the new building provides fits in with our mission to constantly improve the design and reduce lead time.”
Waldron noted the canning line division has already made several improvements to the traditional LinCan Canning systems (http://americanbeerequipment.com/Products/Canning-Systems), which can package beverages at speeds from 15, 30 or 60 cans per minute. His division has also recently launched the more compact CraftCan system, which has a smaller footprint and is more cost effective for breweries with budget or space constraints.
“America is famous for the quality of its manufacturing industry,” said Wright Construction Company co-owner Gary Wright. “And Nebraska is well known for the ethic of its work force. We’re proud to help grow Nebraska and America’s reputation through this new structure.”
