Krystle Fulton is the office manager for Dr. Andrew Glenn’s (www.glennoms.com) practice, which is located at 3401 Plantation Drive #100 in Lincoln.
Tell us a little about your business. – Dr. Andrew Glenn is a dedicated Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon in Lincoln, specializing in more than just wisdom teeth extractions. Some of the other procedures we specialize in include dental implants, bone grafting, sedation dentistry and corrective jaw surgery. Our entire practice focuses on treating patients as individuals. Our team enjoys learning about each patient’s specific needs and goals to help create a personalized, seamless patient care experience.
How did you get started in the business? – I am fortunate to be a part of this team as Dr. Glenn’s office manager. Dentistry has been a part of my life since childhood with having a dentist in the family. I joined the practice in 2009. During my career at Dr. Glenn’s, I have utilized my educational knowledge and training in many aspects. From insurance administration, patient care, surgical assisting, marketing and office management, I have been able to expand my expertise for a busy specialty practice. With dental/medical ever changing technology, advancements and diagnosing changes with ICD-10, I am pleased to stay current with continuing education, training and seminars.
What has been your most important achievement professionally? – As patient care has always been of the utmost importance in all care provided, it is my personal achievement on a daily basis. The most rewarding aspect of my position is the comprehensive scope of services provided in Corrective and Reconstructive Jaw Surgery, also known as Orthognathic Surgery. I love working with our patients from beginning to end. As this major surgery for many is life changing for various reasons, I am touched by the lives we help and the success on how we impacted the patient’s daily living; the before and after transformation is remarkable.
Tell us a little about your family. – I am the mother of two boys, Beau (11) and Cruz (7). Both boys play competitive baseball year-round, along with various other sports. I spend most of my free time in the gym or at the ball diamond. I love being the superfan mom from the stands!
What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? – When not on the road for baseball, we enjoy traveling with family, fishing, biking, hiking, four-wheeling and cheering on the Green Bay Packers! (GO PACK GO) Lambeau Field is an incredible memory for our family.
What are you most proud of? – As most parents would also agree, I am most proud of my children and all of their personal achievements and accomplishments.
What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? – I always love taking all the advice I can get. Two of the most important pieces of advice that always come to mind are the following. “Treat everyone like they are your family member and remember how they would want to be treated” and “Life is too short to be anything but happy.” I believe this advice is key to a successful career and a happy life.
What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know? – One fun thing people probably wouldn’t know is that I can still walk a couple blocks while doing a handstand.
